Artificial turf and putting greens
Facebook ads for artificial turf installers.
I run Facebook and Instagram ads for companies that put in artificial turf and putting greens. Your ads show your own finished yards. A short form stops people who only want a price. The serious ones reach your phone in seconds.
Why turf sells on Facebook.
A finished yard is easy to show
Green grass, no mud, a dog or kids playing on it. That is a picture people stop for. Your best ad is a yard you already did.
People see it before they search for it
Many people who want turf are not searching for it yet. They see a yard they like on their phone, and they start to think about it. The ad reaches them in your area at that moment.
The hard part is the leads, not the clicks
An easy form brings a lot of people who only want a price. That is exactly what happened to my turf client in Arizona, until we changed the form.
The FILTER System
The questions your form asks.
This is the FILTER System for turf. Before anyone can send you their number, they answer these. Many people who are only looking stop here. The ones who answer tell you what they want before you call.
What do you want turf for?
- A front or back yard
- A putting green
- A pet area
- Around a pool
- Something for a business
How big is the space?
- A small yard
- A medium yard
- A big yard
- Not sure yet
When do you want it done?
- As soon as I can
- In the next 3 months
- Later this year
- I am just looking for now
Which zip code is the job in?
They type it in.
In Arizona the form asked three of these: how big the job is, when they want it, and which zip code. We set the exact questions together for your area and your work. How the FILTER System works.
The proof
What the form with questions did in Arizona.
This summer I ran ads for a turf contractor in Arizona. My first lead form was too easy to fill in. Lots of people sent it, but many of them were not serious. So I made a new form with a few questions to check who was serious. 34 people filled that one in. 15 of them booked an estimate. All 15 estimates happened. That form cost $1,600 in ads. That is about $107 for each estimate.
How it works, from the ad to the job.
I make your ads
From photos and videos of jobs you already finished. Most months you film nothing new.
People in your area see them
On Facebook and Instagram. They stop on a job that looks like the one they want.
They answer a few questions
Before they can send their number. People who are only looking stop here.
The lead reaches you in seconds
On your phone, with their answers next to their name. The customer gets an email that says you will call.
You call them and sell the job
That part is yours. One reminder comes an hour later, and then it stops.
What it costs. One area is $2,500 a month, for ad budgets from $2,500 to $5,000 a month. The ad money goes to Meta from your own card. It never comes to me. There is no setup fee. The first ninety days are the shortest run, then it is month to month.
Is this for you?
This works
- You put in turf, putting greens or pet turf for homeowners
- Your finished yards look good in a photo
- Somebody at your company calls new leads back the same day
- Your crews could handle more jobs than you get now
This does not
- Emergency work. Nobody scrolls Instagram looking for a plumber at midnight. That is a Google job
- You want leads but nobody is going to answer the phone. I will not sell you something you are not going to use
- You want me to promise you a number of signed jobs. I will not, because I am not the one selling to your customer
Questions owners ask me.
How much should a turf company spend on Facebook ads?
This starts to work from about $2,500 a month of ad money. That money goes to Meta from your own card. Below that, Meta does not get enough to learn from. If you are under that today, tell me anyway. I will be honest about whether it is worth starting.
Do Facebook ads work for artificial turf installers?
They did for my turf client in Arizona. On the form with questions, 34 people sent it and 15 of them booked an estimate. All 15 estimates happened. That form cost $1,600 in ads. Your area and your prices will change your numbers, so I do not promise you his. We agree your own number of good leads on the call, and I put it in writing.
What kind of ad works best for turf?
Photos and videos of your own finished yards. People want to see work you really did, not a stock photo. I make the ads from what you already have, so most months you film nothing new.
Do you do putting greens too?
Yes. A putting green is a turf job with a different buyer, often a golfer. The form can ask what they want to build, so you know before you call.
Will you work with another turf company in my area?
No. One company per trade in each area. If I take you, I have said no to the company across town.
Who owns the ad account?
You do. I work inside it with partner access. If you ever leave, everything stays with you. The account, the ads and all the data.
See if your area is still open.
Tell me your trade and where you work. If it is not a good fit, I will say so. That is the whole reply.
- 1I read it myself, within one working day.
- 2If your area is open, we book a short call at a time that suits you.
- 3On the call we do the math with your own numbers. If it does not add up, I tell you.
