This summer I ran ads for a turf contractor in Arizona. My first lead form was too easy to fill in. Lots of people sent it, but many of them were not serious. So I made a new form with a few questions to check who was serious. 34 people filled that one in. 15 of them booked an estimate. All 15 estimates happened. That form cost $1,600 in ads. That is about $107 for each estimate.
A form with questions gets fewer leads. But more of them are real people with a real yard. That is why every form I build asks a few questions first.
Over the whole five weeks, both forms together, he spent $2,000 on ads and got 60 leads. That is $33.33 a lead. I show the estimates too, because a lead is only a name. An estimate is a real appointment.
The whole funnel, step by step.
Easy to fill in
Lots of people sent it. Many of them were not serious. So I replaced it.
A few questions first
How big the job is, when they want it, which zip code. People who were only looking stopped there.
Ad money on the second form
Paid to Meta from his own card. It never came to me.
People filled in the second form
Every one of them answered the questions before sending their number.
Booked an estimate
A real appointment in the calendar, not a maybe.
Estimates that happened
All of them. He turned up, measured the yard, and gave a price.
What each estimate cost in ads
That is $1,600 divided by 15. About $107.
Both forms, the whole five weeks
60 leads in total, at $33.33 each.
What your number will be.
Before you pay for a single month, we agree a number of good leads for ninety days. It goes in writing.
The right number for a business selling $4,000 jobs is not the right number for one selling $40,000 jobs. We work yours out together, on the call, from your own numbers.
You put in turf too? Here is how this works for a turf company.
See if your area is still open.
Tell me your trade and where you work. If it is not a good fit, I will say so. That is the whole reply.
- 1I read it myself, within one working day.
- 2If your area is open, we book a short call at a time that suits you.
- 3On the call we do the math with your own numbers. If it does not add up, I tell you.
